day thirty five

reasons to stay

I had a short night filled with strange dreams, came home from Julian’s in a rush and started packing my bags and preparing the car for a photographer’s meetup at Lake Constance. I picked up Laura in her hometown and we drove to Friedrichshaven, where we met up with Julian Raßmann after some waiting. We’d originally planned on sleeping in the car, but he offered us to stay at a hostel with him and some others and when we got there we met a lot of other people, both German and Dutch. We all gathered at the water’s edge later and the atmosphere was tense and unfamiliar in the beginning, but I soon got the feeling I’m so used to when travelling and meeting new people: A slight change in myself. We escaped heavy wind a little later and Laura and me went to bed quite early while the others in our room spent the rest of the evening talking.

I love photos that effectively tell stories (therefore, I love this). That first one, especially.
